HIRE FOREIGN WORKERS - LMIA
Malkus Immigration can help you bring foreign workers to Canada to fulfill your labour needs. The process is not simple, but we can help you meet all the IRCC requirements.
To hire a temporary foreign worker, employers usually must follow the steps below:
- Get an LMIA or submit an offer of employment
- Have the worker apply for a work permit
- Tell the worker what to expect from their application
Get an LMIA or submit an offer of employment
We can help you find out if you need a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) and explain the Temporary Foreign Worker Program to you.
If you don’t need an LMIA, we can help you submit an offer of employment using the Employer Portal, if necessary.
We can also help you determine if you don't need to submit an offer of employment in the Employer Portal.
Some employers don’t need to submit an offer of employment in the Employer Portal or pay the employer compliance fee.
Have the worker apply for a work permit
We can help you manage the process through which a potential employee can apply for a work permit.
We can also help you determine if you are exempt from the employer compliance process and manage related government procedures.
Tell the worker what to expect from their application
Tell the worker that they will receive a letter of introduction when their work permit has been approved. The actual work permit is issued by a border services officer at the port of entry when the worker arrives in Canada. If the worker is already in Canada and eligible to apply, IRCC will mail the work permit to them.
